About The Position

The Operations Analyst II works in the Florida Department of Revenue’s General Tax Administration Program, Account Management Process, Rate Unit. The position requires extensive knowledge of Florida tax laws for registration purposes and involves in-depth research and analysis of tax information filed with the Department. The analyst researches and evaluates tax documents and submitted information to determine the correct distribution of funds, communicates with taxpayers and their representatives, service centers, and other agency personnel, and resolves account maintenance issues. This is an internal agency advertisement. Applicants must currently be employed with the Florida Department of Revenue and meet the specified experience requirements. Required hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; mandatory overtime may occur during peak periods, potentially including weekends.

Requirements

Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
Experience communicating with taxpayers to explain and interpret tax-related issues.
Experience as a Revenue Specialist III or higher within the Account Management Process, Rate Unit.
Experience researching, interpreting, and applying Florida tax laws.

Responsibilities
