About The Position

ATI is seeking to hire an Operations Administration professional to support our Specialty Rolled Products melt-operations in Lockport, NY. This position is responsible for the daily administrative support for operations and maintenance, which includes supporting the employee scheduling and payroll processes for the department in accordance with collective bargaining agreement policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Previous professional office experience preferably in a manufacturing environment with experience using Kronos
  • Proficient typing and data entry skills
  • Computer skills including proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office Software Suite particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (may require Access), and applicable company related systems such as Kronos
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers at all levels
  • Be motivated, dependable with excellent organization skills
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and finalize data for reporting effectively
  • Ability to handle confidential information and prioritize workload meeting all deadlines in a timely manner

Responsibilities

  • Support the Superintendents with scheduling process for hourly employees.
  • Daily correction of time in Kronos. This includes absence tracking, NY Paid sick leave, premium pay documentation, etc.
  • Responsible for internal testing procedures of hourly personnel working closely with Labor Relations and plant management (including drug screening and annual physical exams).
  • Handle problems and/or questions regarding department issues and be able to direct issues to appropriate personnel. Keep department management abreast of all issues.
  • Create and coordinate data bases and spreadsheets for required departmental reporting to include safety reporting, schedules, vacation logs, operations reports, salary premium pay, man hour reporting, etc.
  • Coordinate and schedule weekly and monthly safety meetings/trainings.
  • Distribute weekly safety communications and maintain Safety Observation database.
  • Scheduling/tracking/filing of training for quality, new hire training (skills verifications), updating of job instructions.
  • Assist hourly employees with pay-related questions.
  • Monitor Skills Verification for hourly employees and new hires.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage company luncheons and employee events including logistics and pickups.
  • Coordinate bottle returns (this supports our Toys for Tots donation at Christmas).
  • Coordinate Toys for Tots donation.
  • Coordinate with Safety, Quality, and Operations on the onboarding of new hires.
  • Maintain and update employee anniversary records.
