About The Position

Armison Tech is seeking an experienced Operational Systems Engineer to join a multi-faceted team in Chantilly, VA. This role involves applying a multi-disciplined approach to cybersecurity tactics from both offensive and defensive perspectives. You will be part of a team developing web-based systems to improve efficiency, usability, automation, and standardization of projects. This includes building critical DevOps pipelines using AWS, Azure, Google technologies, GitLab CI/CD, and tools like Ansible and Terraform. The position requires a strong, senior-level technical leader with a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Requirements

  • Must maintain active/current TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance.
  • 15+ years of technical experience working in software engineering, developing, enhancing, and maintaining new and existing mission-focused software capabilities that directly support our customer's operations.
  • A college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Cyber Forensics, Engineering, or a similarly related discipline, or an equivalent combination of technical experience, training, and/or military experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in server-side scripting and software development with the flexibility to adapt to ever-evolving operational and data-driven requirements.
  • Experience working with Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes, as well as Cron, iptables, and user permissions.
  • Experience developing scripts to prepare, process, package and deliver data from the request stage to the post-operational phase for a high-impact operations.
  • 5+ years of experience developing scripts and applications for Linux and familiarity with the command-line environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with server-side programming and scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Bash scripting, or Ruby.
  • Familiarity with SQL queries and database engines such s MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Penetration Testing
  • Experience with big data solutions such as ELK (ElasticSearch, LogStash, and Kibana).
