About The Position

Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, procurement.

  • Recent experience leading a team in the past 2 or 3 years.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven track record of cutting costs year over year.

Responsibilities

  • Define and improve sourcing strategies at business or plant level.
  • May also include management of business team.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline.
  • Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to stakeholders.
  • Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
  • This includes purchasing activities.
  • Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination for goods to be purchased.
  • Provides guidance to team members.
  • Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
  • Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working.
  • Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team.
  • Working within broad guidelines and policies, this role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of evaluative judgment.
  • Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems.
  • Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
  • May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
