The Americas Operational Resilience Department enables Mizuho to effectively manage business disruption risks and ensure the continuity of critical services. The team supports regulatory compliance, client protection, and market stability by embedding resilience across both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. The department operates across two integrated pillars: Resilience Transformation, including strategy, framework design, regulatory remediation, and capability development; and Resilience Operations, focused on execution, testing, reporting, and event readiness across Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management, and Key Business Services (KBS). The team partners closely with business lines and corporate functions across the Americas and plays a central role in regulatory programs, governance forums, and cross-pillar initiatives. The Operational Resilience Associate supports the execution and continuous improvement of Mizuho Americas’ Operational Resilience program, working closely with stakeholders across resilience pillars. The role spans core resilience pillars, including business continuity, disaster recovery, technology resilience, third-party resilience, and data resilience. The Associate is a key contributor of the Operational Resilience Program and responsible for managing discrete workstreams, developing program deliverables, and tracking remediation activities to support delivery against regulatory expectations and internal governance commitments. The role also contributes to enhancing program transparency through reporting, metrics, and performance tracking of resilience activities. This position is well-suited for candidates with experience in financial services risk, Operational Resilience, or BC/DR who are seeking to build deeper exposure to enterprise-wide resilience programs and cross-functional execution.
