About The Position

The Operational Program Director (OPD) leads and coordinates programs serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, medical needs, and/or autism. The role combines direct care with supervisory responsibilities and covers programs in the Washington/Ramsey County, Minnesota area. This is a full-time organizational position, though the role may be part-time within any individual home. The OPD must maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate program, individual, and staff needs and is on call at all times unless arrangements have been made for someone with comparable authority to receive emergency calls. The OPD ensures direct-service shifts are staffed by employees who meet Dungarvin’s employment conditions and have received appropriate orientation and training. Direct-service work may occasionally be needed and should normally not exceed 16 hours per week; if more is necessary, the OPD must notify their supervisor in advance or as soon as possible. Schedule adjustments, when necessary, should be arranged with the director. Dungarvin is a mission-driven provider of person-centered support services. Since 1976, it has supported people with disabilities through individualized services, including services delivered through Medicaid and Community Support Waivers. The organization operates in fifteen states and emphasizes respect, inclusion, and supporting each person’s choices.
