About The Position

The Operational Program Director (OPD) leads and coordinates programs serving people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, medical needs, and/or people on the autism spectrum. The role combines direct care with supervisory responsibilities and manages programs in the Washington/Ramsey County, Minnesota area. This is a full-time organizational position, though it may be part-time within any individual home. The schedule must be flexible to meet program, individual, and staff needs. The OPD is on call at all times unless prior arrangements have been made for someone with comparable authority to receive emergency calls. OPDs ensure direct-service shifts are filled by employees who meet employment conditions and have received adequate orientation and training. They may occasionally work direct-service shifts, normally no more than 16 hours per week; working more requires notifying a supervisor and may require schedule adjustment.
