About The Position

The Operational Program Director (OPD) leads and coordinates programs serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, medical needs, and/or people on the autism spectrum. The position combines direct care with supervisory duties and manages programs in the Washington/Ramsey County, Minnesota area. This is a full-time organizational position, although the role may be part-time within any given home. The schedule must be flexible to accommodate program, individual, and staff needs. The OPD is on call at all times unless advance arrangements are made for someone with comparable authority to receive emergency calls. OPDs ensure direct service shifts are staffed by employees who meet employment conditions and have been properly oriented and trained. They may occasionally cover direct service shifts, normally for no more than 16 hours per work week; if more coverage is needed, they must notify their supervisor in advance or as soon as possible and coordinate any schedule adjustment with the director.
