About The Position

Managem is hiring an Operational Management Controller for work related to the operational and financial performance of a mining site. The role works in coordination with operational teams to monitor site performance, budgets, costs, investments, and key performance indicators. It contributes to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and the development of dashboards and Business Intelligence tools, particularly using Power BI.

The controller also supports the digitalisation and automation of management control processes, including exploring digital tools and Artificial Intelligence. The role analyses operational and financial data to identify variances, trends, cost optimisation opportunities, and ways to improve performance. It supports operational managers with budget monitoring and performance analysis, and contributes to ongoing improvement of site performance monitoring tools, methods, and processes.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of financial management, cost accounting, management control, and cost analysis.
• Good understanding of budgeting processes and CAPEX/OPEX monitoring.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in data processing and analysis tools.
• Good command of Business Intelligence tools, particularly Power BI, including dashboard design, data modelling, automation, and KPI monitoring.
• Strong interest in emerging technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and digital solutions applied to performance management.
• Ability to structure, validate, and analyse data from multiple sources.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Autonomy, initiative, and a results-oriented mindset.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders across operational functions.
• Engineering degree or Master's degree in Finance, Management Control, Business Administration, Accounting, Data Analytics, or an equivalent field.
• 2 to 3 years of professional experience in management control, financial control, or performance management.

• Experience or strong interest in digitalisation, process automation, and integrating Artificial Intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse the operational and financial performance of the mining site in coordination with operational teams.
• Monitor operating costs and investments (CAPEX/OPEX), analyse budget variances, and identify key cost drivers.
• Contribute to preparing budgets, forecasts, and periodic reports, ensuring financial and operational data is reliable and consistent.
• Participate in defining and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for site activities.
• Develop and enhance dashboards and reporting tools, particularly using Power BI and Business Intelligence solutions.
• Contribute to digitalising and automating management control processes, including exploring digital tools and Artificial Intelligence.
• Analyse operational and financial data to identify variances, trends, cost optimisation opportunities, and performance improvements.
• Support operational managers in monitoring budgets and analysing performance indicators.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, methods, and processes for monitoring and managing site performance.
