About The Position

Sabert is seeking an Operational Excellence Engineer Intern to support operational improvement and digital transformation projects in manufacturing. The intern will create and implement digital forms in Ignition for Center Lining processes, support pilot implementations and performance tracking, and assist with developing a Root Cause Analysis Co-Pilot Agent for the manufacturing floor. The role also supports data gathering and analysis, MDI implementation and sustainment, and integration with Tier 3 management systems. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams and develop reports, presentations, and recommendations to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Relevant coursework in process improvement, analytics, engineering, operations, or information systems.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to organize and interpret large data sets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of continuous improvement and operational excellence concepts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Interest in digital transformation, automation, AI tools, and manufacturing operations.

• Experience with data analysis tools, reporting tools, or project work.
• Interest in Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, and digital technologies.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement digital forms within Ignition software for Center Lining processes.
• Support pilot implementation and performance tracking of digital solutions.
• Assist with developing a Root Cause Analysis Co-Pilot Agent for the manufacturing floor.
• Gather and analyze data from SharePoint SOP documentation, Ignition SCADA and MES systems, OEE and process monitoring data, SAP work orders, and digital centerline forms.
• Assist with project initiatives and MDI implementation in Maintenance, Process, and Material Handling departments.
• Support implementation, auditing, and sustainment of MDI systems.
• Assist with integration and connectivity to Tier 3 management systems.
• Develop reports, presentations, and recommendations to support operational improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement projects.
