About The Position
Reproductive Partners Medical Group, Inc., part of Ivy Fertility, is seeking a per diem Operating Room Registered Nurse for its Long Beach/Los Angeles location. The position supports fertility treatment procedures in the operating room and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). It requires at least 2 years of PACU experience and working at least one day per week and one weekend day per month.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Graduate of a certified nursing program.
- Current California Registered Nurse license without limitations.
- At least 2 years of experience working in an operating room within a fertility center.
- At least 2 years of PACU experience.
- Experience working in IVF.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative, circulating, and postoperative assessments for patients.
- Ensure patients are comfortable and safety measures are followed.
- Assist physicians or ultrasound technicians with fertility procedures.
- Provide patient and couple counseling and procedure teaching, and communicate physician orders and instructions.
- Support operating room activities and provide PACU duties for fertility treatment procedures.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative education to patients.
- Insert IVs.
- Document in the ASC electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist with quality assurance projects and daily checks.
- Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
