About The Position

This travel Registered Nurse position specializes in Operating Room (OR) nursing. The RN will assist vascular surgeons in the operating room and hybrid imaging suite, collaborating with nurses and surgical technicians on endoscopic and open cases. The assignment is 13 weeks, with four 10-hour day shifts (0630–1700) and 36 guaranteed hours per week. The patient ratio is 1:1, and the RN may float as needed by the facility.

The unit has 22 beds in the main area, 8 in the ASC, and 10 in orthopedics. Equipment includes various types, including DaVinci systems for robotic procedures; the EMR is EPIC. The role calls for a motivated self-starter with clinical expertise and excellent communication and human-relations skills. The work typically involves standing and walking for most of the duty period, as well as lifting and maneuvering patients.

Requirements

• Hold a current RN license eligible for licensure in Missouri, or be currently licensed in Missouri.
• Hold current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Have a minimum of 2 years of Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in nursing practices and excellent communication and human-relations skills.
