About The Position

An individual who performs various patient care activities based on age and functional status, and related non-professional services in the Operating Rooms. This role involves following approved/established techniques and procedures related to asepsis, infection control and safety. The Operating Room Nursing Assistant is responsible for room setup, transportation of patients, equipment retrieval, and room turnover. Additionally, the role includes performing between-case clean up in assigned ORs, such as surface cleaning, floor cleaning, and table cleaning. The position also requires interacting with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.

Requirements

High School Graduate
Maintains all certification as required by the Department of Nursing, including basic cardiac life support.
Minimum of one-year experience in an acute care inpatient environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Follows approved/established techniques and procedures related to asepsis, infection control and safety.
Performs all duties and tasks of an Operating Room Nursing Assistant, including room setup, transportation of patients, equipment retrieval, and room turnover.
Performs between-case clean up in assigned OR’s, including surface cleaning, floor cleaning, tables, etc.
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
