About The Position
We are seeking a qualified Operating Room Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in the surgical environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking skills and leadership while planning for the care of patients undergoing various surgical procedures. The nurse collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams; prepares and maintains the operating room; assists surgeons during procedures while maintaining sterile techniques; communicates with patients and families; updates physician preference cards; helps establish timeliness of surgical cases; and supervises and supports personnel providing patient care in the operating room. The role may require floating between multiple locations within the region. AHCA Fingerprinting clearance is required before starting.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
- Ability to float between multiple locations within the region as needed.
- Knowledge of service lines including General, Urology, Spine, GYN, Ortho, Plastics, Breasts, and Robotics.
- AHCA Fingerprinting clearance prior to starting the position.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Cerner EMR.
Responsibilities
