More about our team The Operating Room team at Frye Regional Medical Center offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment where nurses play an essential role in delivering exceptional surgical care. Requirements

  • Current state RN license.
  • Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
  • Three or more years of Operating Room RN experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Operating Room Manager experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
  • Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development and student engagements.
  • Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees properly working order equipment and/or stock supplies.
  • Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
  • May provide patient care when necessary.
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
  • Coordinates and directs internal/external audits and reports out to proper committees.
  • Ensures the department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.
  • Adherence to all core measures, patient safety goals, and NQF safe practices.
