About The Position

The Nurse Manager - Operating Room is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing process. This role promotes a positive patient experience and an environment that supports family-centered care, reflecting the patient population. The manager builds and retains a talented workforce by developing, engaging, and empowering personnel. Collaboration within an integrated team, sharing information and best practices through a professional governance model, is key. The position contributes to strategic program growth, development, and organizational change, while being accountable for achieving organizational and financial goals. Quality outcomes are achieved through performance improvement processes, utilizing evidence-based practice and research to guide patient care through interdisciplinary collaboration. The role also involves self-development, supporting a learning environment, demonstrating progressive leadership, effective management, and ensuring regulatory standards are maintained. A commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and values is expected. Additional responsibilities include performing other duties as assigned, complying with all policies and standards, and adhering to requirements for the safe and secure maintenance of Protected Health Information (PHI).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master in Nursing (MN)
  • Master's Degree for Level 4 NICU, Labor &Delivery, Post-Partum and Antenatal
  • 3+ years progressive clinical and management experience
  • Demonstrates skills in human relations, human & material resource management.
  • Evidence of ability to provide exceptional nursing leadership.
  • Demonstrates the ability to facilitate change, excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers.
  • Able to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of current technology and equipment to meet patient and employee needs.
  • PC and computer applications.
  • Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Certification in clinical or leadership specialty (Required within 1 Year)
