About The Position
The Operating Room Attendant works under the direction of the Operating Room Attendant Supervisor at Grosse Pointe Hospital. The operating room unit includes ten operating rooms and a separate Cystoscopy Room, supporting General, GYN, Urology, Neuro, and Orthopedics services. The facility has a newly opened hybrid room and is renovating the rest of the OR. The role involves variable shifts and some on-call coverage on weekends and during the week.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
Nice To Haves
- Six months to one year of prior OR assistant experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Turn over operating rooms between procedures.
- Wipe down all equipment in the operating room.
- Mop operating room floors.
- Restock supplies and housekeeping carts.
- Pick up patient beds for the day's surgeries.
- Make runs to the Lab and Blood Bank when requested by the OR room.
- Provide service efficiently, effectively, and compassionately in accordance with organizational standards.
