About The Position
The Operating Room Assistant at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange in Orange, California, provides ancillary services in the Operating Room. Under the immediate supervision of the Lead Support Technician and the general direction of the Clinical Coordinator or Charge Nurse, the role supports surgical cases by ensuring equipment is available and functioning, assisting nursing personnel with room setup and turnover and selected patient support services, and maintaining a safe, clean environment in the operating room suites and peripheral areas. This is a part-time, day-shift position working 8-hour shifts. Requirements
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Ensure well-functioning equipment is available for every surgical case.
- Assist nursing personnel with operating room setup and turnover.
- Assist with selected patient support services, including turning, lifting, and transporting patients.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in the operating room suites and peripheral areas.
