About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of licensed personnel, the Operating Room Assistant assists in providing direct patient care and completing tasks required for daily unit functions. The position is in the Main Operating Room and is scheduled for 40 hours per week. The role may require irregular hours, rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• At least six months of experience working in a hospital setting.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) within the first two weeks of hire and maintain current certification thereafter. Accepted credentials include American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers or an AHA-recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
• Ability to meet the stated physical, sensory, and work-environment requirements, including standing, walking, lifting, and working rotating shifts and overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a recognized allied health course.
• Six months of patient care experience in a health care setting.
