About The Position

The Health & Life Sciences Operating Model Consultant works with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex business challenges and help health and life sciences clients transform how their organizations operate. The role applies a scientific background to high-profile transformations while developing expertise in health and life sciences operating design and business transformation. The work supports pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, and healthcare organizations as they respond to changing patient expectations, scientific advances, digital innovation, and pressure to improve outcomes and efficiency. The Operating Model team helps clients translate strategy into action by designing operating models, organizational structures, governance, capabilities, and ways of working. The consultant contributes to business design and transformation initiatives that combine technology and human-centered thinking to help organizations prepare for the future of health. The position offers exposure to complex client challenges, collaboration with specialists across healthcare, life sciences, strategy, transformation, technology, and innovation, and a structured development pathway in business and operating model design. This is a hybrid position requiring at least two days per week in an office or at a client site. Time and location may vary by assignment, including up to five days per week at a client site.

Requirements

At least 2 years of professional experience in consulting, health and life sciences, transformation, or a related industry role; this is not an entry-level position.
Experience supporting clinical, R&D, medical, regulatory, commercial, or enterprise transformation initiatives within pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, or healthcare organizations.
Understanding of the scientific processes behind client challenges and proposed solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations and insights.
Proactive approach and ability to solve difficult challenges with creativity and structure.

Nice To Haves

Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, and patient-centered operating models and organizational design.
Experience in clinical development, R&D, or commercial transformation.
Experience in governance, capability, and process design.
Experience in enterprise and technology-enabled transformation.

Responsibilities

Design future-state operating models, including organizational structures, governance, capabilities, and ways of working.
Analyze complex business challenges and develop practical recommendations, business cases, and transformation roadmaps.
Facilitate stakeholder discussions and workshops with clients, from operational teams through executive leadership.
Assess organizational capabilities, operating models, and ways of working to identify opportunities for improved performance and transformation.
Contribute scientific knowledge to high-profile health and life sciences client transformations.
Help shape the growing Operating Model team while developing expertise across pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, and broader healthcare organizations.
