About The Position

24-MAG LLC is recruiting experienced open-source GitHub maintainers and senior software engineers for a fully remote, independent contractor consulting engagement. Contributors review AI-generated code patches for repositories they maintain or actively contribute to, assess technical correctness and quality, provide detailed written justifications, and participate in peer review with other subject-matter experts. Relevant languages include C++, Java, TypeScript, Rust, Go, Python, and C. Prior AI experience is not required. The engagement is expected to require approximately 15 hours per week, with a flexible schedule across any hours or days as long as consistent activity is maintained. Compensation is displayed as $150–$300 per hour, but the actual payment structure is output-based, with payment per task that meets project specifications. Time per task may vary, and minimum weekly submission requirements apply; the exact number of required tasks is not specified. Selection may include an approximately 10-minute AI interview followed by hiring-manager review. Roles are typically filled within approximately 48 hours, and selected contributors should be ready to begin initial tasks within approximately 24–48 hours after onboarding. Work must not use confidential or proprietary information belonging to an employer, client, organization, institution, or other third party.
