About The Position

The University of New Mexico, School of Medicine and Health Sciences Center is seeking a candidate for a faculty position in the Division of Urogynecology. This is an open rank, open track full-time faculty position in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Division of Urogynecology has an established fellowship, a busy clinical practice, and is active in research and education. The successful incumbent will be involved with clinical teaching and clinical research at clinics on and off campus. The Division hosts an accredited Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship, with a primary objective to train well-rounded, subspecialist physicians who are experts in surgical anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the pelvic floor. The Division also has a dedicated pessary clinic for non-surgical treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction and welcomes creative research opportunities with a team of research coordinators. The incumbent will be expected to participate in the education and surgical training of medical students, residents, and fellows in the clinic, classroom, and operating room, and will provide additional surgical opportunities for training residents and fellows. Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • MD or DO degree or equivalent
  • Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Completion of a Fellowship or advanced training in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS)
  • Eligible for medical licensure in NM, State of New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification, and federal DEA registration
