About The Position
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking an academic Endocrinologist to participate in clinical care, research, and teaching. The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Medicine at MUSC has a fifty-year distinguished history of clinical, translational, and basic research on the complications of diabetes. The clinical enterprise includes clinic programs in intensive diabetes, weight management, cardiometabolic disorders, thyroid neoplasms, endocrine cancers, as well as general endocrine clinics. Faculty work with fellows and advance practice providers. Teaching focuses on the education of five endocrinology fellows and one diabetes fellow, as well as rotating residents and students.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- BC/BE in Endocrinology
Responsibilities
- Participate in clinical care, research and teaching.
- Treat patients with a full spectrum of endocrine conditions, including diabetes and thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, bone, gonadal, and metabolic disorders.
- Work with a team of ten nurse practitioners/physician assistants/dietitians.
- Focus teaching duties on the education of the five Endocrinology Fellows in training, and of rotating residents and medical students.
