About The Position

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is recruiting a forensic pathologist who will be responsible for conducting postmortem examinations, providing medicolegal consultations and courtroom testimony, participating in quality assurance programs, and developing an academic presence corresponding to the candidate’s areas of interest. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. This is a faculty position with academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications, expertise and accomplishments. Requirements

• Degree from an accredited school of medicine
• Unrestricted South Carolina state medical license
• Certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Forensic Pathology, or eligible to take the forensic pathology boards
• Board certification in Forensic Pathology must be obtained within 2 years of hire
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
