About The Position

Smurfit Westrock is hosting an on-site open interview day for candidates interested in production, maintenance, or manufacturing career opportunities at its Milwaukee facility. Applicants can meet with the hiring team, learn about current openings, and interview on site. No appointment is necessary; walk-ins are welcome, and candidates should bring a resume and be prepared to interview. The facility operates 8-hour shifts. Employees must be able to work any shift, including the listed second shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) and third shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM), and may need to work daily or weekend overtime. New hires spend their first three weeks on first shift (7:00 AM–3:00 PM) for orientation, safety and quality training, and on-the-job training, with direct access to leadership for questions and support. The starting wage is $22.58 per hour, with potential increases after completion of the probationary period. Benefit eligibility begins on the first day of employment.

Requirements

Strong communication and listening skills.
Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16-inch increments, perform basic math, and use some computer skills.
Ability to lift, push, or pull more than 50 pounds; navigate stairs; and stand, walk, bend, and kneel for 8 or more hours.
Ability to work a standard 8-hour shift up to six days a week, work any shift, and work overtime during the week as needed to cover open positions, as well as daily or weekend overtime as required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer and before starting employment.
