About The Position

The Screen Print Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining screen printing equipment used to apply printed designs onto a variety of materials. The successful candidate must align and register screens to produce sharp, multi-colored graphics on products using manual or semi-automatic presses. This role requires strong attention to detail and excellent color-matching abilities to ensure high-quality printing results.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to lift 25–35 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (8–12 hour shifts).
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the workday.
  • Excellent visual acuity and color perception.
  • Ability to accurately match customer-specific colors, logos, and artwork to quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with manual or semi-automatic screen printing equipment is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Mount and install screens on manual or semi-automatic printing presses.
  • Transfer and register multi-colored artwork accurately.
  • Make necessary adjustments during production to achieve high-quality branding and print results.
  • Manage production schedules and order priorities.
  • Set up and prepare machines and screens for production runs.
  • Ensure artwork and ink are transferred evenly and accurately onto various substrates.
  • Direct printed products through conveyor dryers.
  • Continuously monitor print quality and curing processes to ensure proper ink adhesion and durability.
  • Inspect first-run samples and ongoing production for quality standards.
  • Identify and correct defects such as ink bleeding, smudging, pinholes, misregistration, or other print inconsistencies.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills to meet hourly production targets.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Record completed quantities, scrap counts, and production tracking information in the company's order management system (Traveler).
