UPMC Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is hiring a full-time OP Nurse Coordinator to join their team at Children's Hospital. This is a Monday through Friday daylight position with the hours of 8am to 4pm. No evenings or weekends! The OP Nurse Coordinator plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with complex liver disease. This position will assist the provider in clinic 1 day per week, triage patients, coordinate procedures, and follow up care. This position serves as a central point of contact for patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams, ensuring seamless coordination across clinical services. A key strength of the Hepatology Coordinator role is the opportunity to foster long-term, trusting relationships with a dedicated patient population. By providing consistent support throughout the care journey, the coordinator becomes a familiar and reliable presence in patients’ lives — enhancing communication, improving adherence to treatment plans, and contributing to better health outcomes. This continuity not only benefits patients but also allows the coordinator to develop a deep understanding of each individual's medical history, preferences, and goals — enabling more personalized, compassionate care. This role may have a sign on bonus available. This role also allows the option to work from home a few days per week after a 6-month orientation period.
