About The Position

The Onsite Material Handler performs the collection, movement, sorting, and processing of waste and by-products in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Work must be performed safely and in accordance with Company, Federal, State, and local regulations and rules. Health and safety are the top priority, and regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the role. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Ability to understand general industry practices.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a respirator.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior forklift experience.
• Basic knowledge of EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies and processes and act safely at all times.
• Load and unload solid and liquid waste and recyclables in accordance with applicable regulations and rules.
• Use hand trucks, pallet jacks, fork trucks with attachments, and other handling equipment to move materials to and from trucks and within the facility.
• Safely operate equipment to process materials, including balers, shredders, grinders, extractors, pumps, tanks, and pressure washers.
• Sort materials according to pre-established guidelines for additional processing.
• Perform cleanup and housekeeping duties as directed.
• Use knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
• Complete additional assigned duties and responsibilities, including continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
