About The Position

LabCorp is seeking a Onsite Lab Support Clerk to join their team in Marion, Illinois. This role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, communicating with client office staff, and troubleshooting customer and specimen issues. The position requires data entry of patient information, accurate specimen identification and labeling, packing and shipping specimens, and performing special services like spinning, freezing, and splitting samples as needed. The role is fast-paced and high-throughput, located onsite with one of LabCorp's client offices.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED or equivalent
1 year or more experience in laboratory or accessioning or data entry or manufacturing
Comfortable handling biological specimens
Ability to accurately identify specimens
Experience working in a team environment
Strong data entry and organizational skills
High level of attention to detail
Proficient in MS Office
Able to lift up to 40lbs.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

2 or more years of medical or patient facing healthcare experience

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
Communicate effectively with client office staff

Meet department activity and production goals
Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Accurately identify and label specimens
Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
