About The Position

The Onsite Janitorial Associate is responsible for the visual presentation and cleanliness of the VillageWalk at Lake Nona community under the direction of their immediate supervisor. Duties include janitorial work and grounds keeping. Responsibilities may evolve based on Board direction and community needs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the position.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED.
Two years of HOA, resort, or apartment janitorial experience.
Ability to follow through on directives and tasks.
Good English communication skills.
Problem-solving ability and self-motivation.
Attention to detail.
Flexibility and adaptability.
Ability to manage time between tasks.
Good judgment and decision-making.
Computer skills, including MS Office.
Schedule flexibility, including some weekends.
Clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally handle heavier objects with assistance.
Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely.
Visual acuity to inspect equipment, read gauges, and perform detailed tasks.
Hearing ability to detect alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructions in noisy environments.
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, dust, noise, and outdoors.
Ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, on-call, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

Clean common areas, restrooms, fitness areas, the town center, and other areas as directed.
Perform light checks and change bulbs.
Power wash areas as needed.
Pick up trash from lawns and common areas.
Blow leaves away from common areas.
Check the pool area for trash and contaminants.
Empty trash bags in common areas.
Assist maintenance when directed.
