About The Position

In this role, you will report to the Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior customer service experience required
  • Proficiency with computers required, including MS Excel and hand‑held scanning devices
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet customer and company objectives
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to workplace safety required
  • Reliable transportation and consistent, punctual attendance required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a laboratory environment preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Receive and deliver product following the work stream hand-offs to the appropriate teams, groups, or person.
  • Keep areas clean and safe so as not to interrupt workflows and promote a safe workplace.
  • Support the management of the site's LN2 tank inventory, including coordination of tank swaps.
  • Support the management of the site's dry ice inventory, including the filling of lab dry ice bins.
  • Support PPE and Lab Consumables inventory through scheduled inventory checks and restocks.
  • Proactive communication of stocking issues and tracking of stocking changes.
  • Ability to support customer requests as needed and provide a high level of customer service.
  • Using the Change Request process.
  • Track activity and data usage and provide input to stakeholders.
  • Support lab coat inventory management.
  • Strong communication within the team, including supporting work efforts as needed.
  • Prioritizing and problem-solving to achieve personal and team goals.
  • Complete required training as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
