Online Business Adjunct Faculty – Business Analytics

About The Position
ECPI University is seeking experienced business professionals to teach Business Analytics courses online. The faculty member will deliver practical instruction through the Canvas Learning Management System and conduct weekly live lectures via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. The role focuses on connecting business analytics concepts to real-world workplace situations and creating a supportive, student-centered learning environment using active-learning strategies and practical examples. Courses are taught in an accelerated five-week format. Candidates must be available evenings and weekends to support students.
Requirements
- A master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Statistics, or a closely related discipline from a regionally accredited educational institution.
- 3–5 years of industry experience in business analytics, data analytics, business intelligence, operations analytics, data-driven decision-making, or a related business field.
- Strong business analytics acumen, including the ability to apply data analysis, statistical reasoning, business intelligence, data visualization, forecasting, optimization, and data-driven decision-making to real-world business problems.
- Current hands-on experience using analytics concepts and tools in an organizational business setting.
- Ability to connect business analytics concepts to practical workplace applications, including business intelligence, operations, marketing, finance, management, and strategic decision-making.
- Reliable high-speed internet access.
- A current Windows-based computer and webcam meeting ECPI University's minimum technical requirements.
- Ability to conduct and participate in weekly live lectures via Zoom.
- Availability evenings and weekends to support students.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of online teaching experience.
- Strong online presentation and webinar facilitation skills.
- Experience with Canvas LMS.
- Experience with analytics tools or applied technologies such as Excel, SQL, business intelligence platforms, data visualization tools, Python, R, artificial intelligence, machine learning, forecasting, optimization, or simulation.
Responsibilities
- Teach Business Analytics courses in an accelerated five-week format.
- Deliver engaging weekly live lectures via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
- Provide practical, hands-on instruction connecting business analytics principles with real-world business situations.
- Use active-learning techniques and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement.
- Facilitate course activities, discussions, assignments, and assessments through Canvas.
- Provide timely feedback, guidance, and academic support to students.
- Build rapport with students and create an approachable, supportive online learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students representing a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
- Assist students with basic course-related technology or software questions and direct more complex technical concerns to appropriate resources.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
- Be available evenings and weekends to support students.
