About The Position

The Online Auction Support Specialist plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in supporting our live koi fish sales through online auction platforms such as Whatnot. This position focuses on the logistical and operational side of live sales, ensuring customer orders are accurate, properly documented, and prepared for fulfillment. Working closely with the Fish Photographer and Fish Team, this role supports live auction events in real time while also assisting with hands-on fish handling, order verification, and shipping coordination. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented position ideal for someone who thrives in live environments and enjoys blending operational work with hands-on team collaboration.

Comfortable working with live sales, real-time order tracking, and logistics
Ability to stay organized while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple team members during live events
Comfortable working hands-on with live fish and in aquatic environments
Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt quickly during live sales
Physical requirements including standing, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent – required
Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and peak sales periods – required

Nice To Haves

Experience with e-commerce platforms, live selling, or online auctions
Familiarity with koi, aquatics, or fish handling

Responsibilities

Support live koi fish auctions on Whatnot by managing order logistics during and after live sales
Verify customer orders for accuracy, including: Correct fish selection, Bundle purchases, Customer information and shipping details
Track and organize sold fish to ensure each order is correctly assigned and documented
Communicate in real time with internal team members during live auctions to support smooth operations
Assist with fish handling during live sales, including moving, staging, and identifying sold fish
Coordinate with the Fish Team to ensure sold fish are properly removed from tanks and prepared for shipment
Support packaging, labeling, and shipping processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Maintain clear records related to sales, inventory, and fulfillment
Help maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work environment during live sales and daily operations
Collaborate closely with the Fish Photographer and Fish Team, with flexibility to cross-support roles as needed
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
