About The Position
The Oncology Staff Nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital provides care to patients with hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses. The role includes patient and family education and support throughout admission, and administration of treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T. Nurses work collaboratively to deliver excellent care in a safe environment and may participate in the hospital's shared governance structure to help improve care and foster new ideas. The role is a 36-hour variable night position on Oncology 5AB.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current registration in Massachusetts.
- For newly licensed nurses, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
- Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
Nice To Haves
- Prior hematology/oncology experience is preferred.
- Prior Epic experience is preferred.
- Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
- Certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
