Oncology/Research Staff Nurse BWH
About The Position
The Oncology/Research Staff Nurse provides care to patients with hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses at Brigham and Women's Hospital. The role includes educating and supporting patients and families throughout admission and administering treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T. Nurses work collaboratively to provide excellent care in the safest environment and may participate in oncology research activities and the hospital’s shared governance structure. The position is onsite, scheduled for 36 hours per week on variable night shifts, with weekend rotation required per the MNA contract.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current registration in Massachusetts.
- Newly licensed nurses must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
- Research interest is required, including interest in first-in-human, industry-funded, and investigator-driven research activities.
- Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
Nice To Haves
- Prior oncology experience is preferred.
- Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
- Certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
