About The Position

The Oncology Registered Nurse works on the K9A Oncology/Women’s Surgical unit in Asheville, North Carolina. The 24-bed unit has 42 staff members and patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5. The unit uses Cerner and standard unit equipment. Typical procedures include occasional pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis. Nurses follow basic hospital policies and guidelines. The ideal candidate is a team player who is willing to learn and adapt to a dynamic nursing environment. Nurses wear navy, white, or a combination of those colors.

Requirements

• Valid RN license.
• BLS certification.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience.
• Ability to work six weekend days per schedule.

• Chemotherapy certification.

Responsibilities
