About The Position

Provides program support to a variety of oncology-programs including tumor board coordination, multidisciplinary clinics scheduling, and research support among others. Works closely with leadership, oncology quality/safety coordinator, nurse navigators, and other oncology staff to coordinate programs that result in successful operational outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Proficiency and previous experience with Epic preferred.
• 3 years of experience in a Health setting, Oncology preferred
• Must be able to operate and perform computer programs associated with documentation and record keeping in the department including word-processing, spreadsheets, and healthcare-based systems
• Must have the ability to multi-task and quickly change priorities, sometimes with no advance notice.
• Must have ability to interact with verbal and written requests from various levels, including management, co-workers, and providers
• Must demonstrate leadership and organization skills including the ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Tumor Board Coordination: Create Case Findings and Case List, Communicate effectively to Tumor Board participants - send case list, request pathology if needed from other facilities, acquire imaging from other facilities, Administer Tumor Boards – prep for tumor board, take attendance, take notes as needed, Apply for CME status and handle CME communication
• Multidisciplinary Clinic Scheduling and Flow: Assist with scheduling patients, Assist with chart prep for patients, Coordinate with other physician practices for any patient needs
• Research Support: Screen eligible patients for research studies, Perform data entry for research studies and patients, Assist with research patient scheduling
• Genetic Counseling Program Support: Serve as a backup to the Genetic Assistant, Process referrals when needed, Schedule patients, send packets when needed
• Oncology Program Support: Other duties as assigned, Schedule events, education, clinics as needed
