About The Position

Hartford HealthCare (HHC) is seeking an Oncology Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant to join their growing team in the Hartford region, including Manchester & Avon sites. This role focuses on providing value-based care to Oncology Patients primarily in outpatient settings. The HHC Cancer Institute is an institutional member with the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology Oncology (APSHO) and offers APP Clinical Ladder advancement and an APP RVU Incentive program. Through collaboration with Memorial Sloan Kettering, HHC provides state-of-the-art, evidence-based cancer care. Oncology APPs will be involved in triage and the full spectrum of outpatient management of cancer patients, including urgent visits, chemotherapy pre-treatment visits, follow-up appointments, and survivorship care. Opportunities for professional advancement and training are available through HHC's relationship with Memorial Sloan Kettering. The position offers a Monday-Friday daytime outpatient schedule with the possibility of shifts on a daytime inpatient consult service. Requirements

  • Eligibility to be licensed in Connecticut as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
  • Eligibility to be certified as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Oncology experience as a PA, NP, or RN is required.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience practicing as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and manage the spectrum of outpatient care for cancer patients.

  • Provide ongoing survivorship care.
