About The Position

The Oncology Discovery Biology / In Vivo Pharmacology team develops T-cell engager (TCE) therapies for cancer to address unmet therapeutic needs. The intern contributes to oncology discovery research through in vitro assays, flow cytometry, mammalian tissue culture, and animal tissue processing and analysis. This hands-on laboratory role involves collaboration with scientists and provides practical experience in oncology biology, immuno-oncology, drug discovery, and translational research. The position is a temporary, time-bound internship or co-op and does not guarantee continued or permanent employment after program completion. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States at hire and throughout employment without requiring current or future sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Biology, Cancer Biology, Immunology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Strong academic performance and demonstrated interest in biomedical research and oncology drug discovery.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and for the duration of employment, with work authorization that does not require sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Core skills include mammalian tissue culture and aseptic technique; a basic understanding of cancer biology, immunology, cell biology, or pharmacology; flow cytometry sample preparation and basic data analysis; in vitro cell-based assays; animal tissue processing and preparation; accurate laboratory documentation and record keeping; and data organization, interpretation, and presentation using Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior academic or research laboratory experience.
  • Exposure to mammalian tissue culture.
  • Experience with flow cytometry, cell-based assays, or biological sample processing.
  • Familiarity with common scientific and data-analysis software.

Responsibilities

  • Support in vitro studies characterizing biological responses to investigational oncology therapeutics, including T-cell engagers.
  • Perform mammalian cell culture, including routine cell maintenance and preparation for experiments.
  • Assist with flow cytometry sample preparation, data acquisition, and analysis.
  • Support animal tissue collection, processing, and downstream analysis from preclinical oncology studies.
  • Document experimental procedures, observations, and results in accordance with laboratory practices.
  • Organize and analyze experimental data using appropriate scientific software.
