About The Position

Wider Circle is seeking a remote Healthcare Onboarding Training Facilitator for a contract role within their Learning & Development team. This position will primarily focus on onboarding non-clinical frontline staff, with the flexibility to adapt to evolving hiring needs and train various new hire populations. The role requires strong skills in delivering live training sessions via video conference to a geographically dispersed workforce, ensuring new hires are effectively prepared to support the company's mission of improving health outcomes for older adults and complex populations. The facilitator will introduce new hires to Wider Circle's unique culture, care model, and essential tools and systems, directly impacting patient experience and program success. This role involves utilizing existing onboarding curricula and facilitator guides, managing logistics, assessing performance, providing coaching, and contributing feedback for continuous improvement of training materials.

Requirements

  • Experience facilitating training in a healthcare, call center, care coordination, or comparable regulated environment.
  • Comfort with HIPAA and compliance-sensitive content.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering live, remote training to new hire cohorts.
  • Experience with role-play, real-time coaching, grading assessments, and troubleshooting technical challenges in remote training.
  • Strong scheduling and coordination skills to manage multiple cohorts, managers, and calendars.
  • Comfort giving direct, specific feedback on homework and assessments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Instructional design experience, including suggesting or drafting improvements to materials and working with subject matter experts.
  • Relationship-building skills to build trust with managers and solicit honest feedback.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Comfort with LMS platforms (TalentLMS) and standard tools like Slack and Google Suite.
  • Ability to learn Healthie or similar care platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's own schedule in a remote, fast-changing environment.
  • Comfort ramping up on and delivering training for new role curricula on short notice.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a Care Navigator, Community Health Worker, or other frontline patient/member-facing role at a healthcare organization.
  • Familiarity with value-based care, social determinants of health, or care coordination workflows.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment where processes and roles evolve quickly.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or another language relevant to Wider Circle's member population).

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate live video-based onboarding sessions for new hires, introducing health screening scripts, intake workflows, technology tools, HIPAA and consent requirements, and escalation pathways.
  • Create an engaging and participatory learning environment through role-playing, real-time coaching, and adapting pacing to the cohort.
  • Administer and grade final training assessments, providing clear and actionable feedback on assignments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during onboarding, addressing questions, troubleshooting issues, and identifying individuals who may be falling behind.
  • Coordinate training cohort schedules with hiring managers and new hires, considering start dates and staffing needs.
  • Manage daily logistics for each cohort, including sending calendar invites, session reminders, distributing materials, and setting up tools.
  • Track attendance and completion of training modules.
  • Communicate proactively with managers regarding cohort progress, readiness, and any scheduling conflicts.
  • Distribute training materials, job aids, and assessments, maintaining accurate and audit-ready completion records.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers, soliciting feedback to improve training curriculum, scripts, and materials.
  • Facilitate onboarding for other new hire roles as hiring needs change.
  • Support the Learning & Development team with other training program development and delivery, including content review, ad hoc facilitation, and logistics for adjacent programs.
  • Provide feedback and insights from training sessions to improve broader L&D programs.
