Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in property management or maintenance is desired.
  • Knowledge of building systems, security systems, problem-solving, time management skills.
  • Must successfully pass Eskaton's post offer, pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check, drug test, TB screen test and health screen.
  • All new hires are required to sign an arbitration agreement as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Call 911 and contact the Executive Director and/or the Maintenance person in cases of catastrophic emergencies (fire, explosion, extensive flooding, serious crime, earthquake or other event that poses a risk of serious injury).
  • Notify the Executive Director in cases of security incidents or emergencies.
  • Walk the property grounds every Saturday and Sunday and report to the Executive Director and/or maintenance staff any safety risks or hazards (fallen trees or large branches, down power lines, broken water lines, flooding, inoperable exterior lighting, or building system failures).
  • Unlock and lock multi-purpose room or designated area on occasion for special events.
  • Ensure that both doors and windows are locked to the multi-purpose room, laundry room, and lounges every Saturday and Sunday evening.
  • Keep accurate records of all work carried out on the property, as well as any incidents that occur.
  • Report to the Executive Director of any firsthand knowledge of lease violations (resident smoking in the unit, resident engaging in any criminal activity that threatens health, safety, or right to peaceful enjoyment of their residence, on or near the premises, among others).
  • Report to duty in the event of a major area-wide disaster such as wildfire, earthquake or flash flood.
  • Accurately record/report all hours worked.
  • Does not perform any off-the-clock work.
  • Provides Company with at least 48-hours advanced notice if they will be absent from the property for more than 24-hours.

  • Fully complies with all provisions in Eskaton’s Corporate Compliance Policy and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Maintains attendance as outlined in Eskaton policy.
  • Follows required dress code and Eskaton’s Community Appearance Standards. Maintains a professional image to the public and residents.
  • Works in accordance with established safety guidelines; uses proper body mechanics; follows safe work practices; wears appropriate safety gear.
