We review all applications. Washburn on the Park Apartments is looking to hire a Full-Time caretaker to join their team in LaCrosse, WI. As a caretaker, you will strive to keep the assigned inside and outside common areas and available units of the property clean, orderly, and pleasant. Provide an environmentally safe and clean setting for the residents and guests of the property.

Requirements

  • Ability to keep assigned inside and outside common areas and available units of the property clean, orderly, and pleasant.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Clean common areas (i.e., party room, storage rooms, fitness center, laundry room, hallways, elevator areas), offices, and other assigned areas.
  • Vacuum, spot clean, and shampoo common area rugs and carpets.
  • Sweep, scrub, mop, wax, and polish floors.
  • Clean and restock restrooms.
  • Dust, clean, and polish furniture and woodwork.
  • Polish metalwork.
  • Empty waste receptacles, clean the trash room, rotate waste receptacles, and wash trash chutes.
  • Wash windows, walls, and doors.
  • Replace light bulbs.
  • Assist with grounds work, e.g., sweep sidewalks, water plants, remove snow, distribute salt/ice melt, etc.
  • Pick up paper and debris from the main entrances and around the property.
  • Empty trash containers.
  • Clean the garage area. (Sweep and ensure fixtures are clear of cobwebs)
  • Take routine care of custodial equipment and materials.
  • Move and arrange furniture and equipment.
  • Assist with repairs.
  • Distribute/deliver resident mail and packages, as necessary.
  • Deliver communications from the property management office to residents, as necessary.
  • Assist the property management/leasing office as requested, e.g., answer telephones.
  • Attend staff meetings as required.
  • Maintain and safeguard confidential information.
  • Remain flexible, receptive, and adaptive to change.
  • Understand and apply basic principles of good housekeeping and safety.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by the supervisor.
