About The Position

Sazerac Company is seeking an On-Premise Market Development Representative to build careers and drive sales for their diverse spirits portfolio. This role involves partnering with on-premise accounts like restaurants and bars to connect consumers with brands, spark excitement through events and tastings, and create unforgettable consumer experiences. The position focuses on achieving volume and distribution sales goals within an assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience in the alcohol-beverage or CPG industries.
  • On-premise experience is preferred.
  • New college graduates require a sales/marketing internship or full/part-time sales role (preferably in consumer-packaged goods) and/or sales competition experience.
  • Proven ability to achieve volume objectives and deliver on new points of distribution (PODs), well placements, menu placements, events, and promotions.
  • Demonstrated success using sales data analytics and tools to drive sales results, identify market trends, and produce measurable results.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel within an assigned territory is required.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Candidate must reside in or near the territory.
  • Ability to personally cover ordinary and essential business expenses that will be promptly reimbursed.
  • Required to obtain a solicitor’s permit in any state.
  • Standing for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 35lbs without assistance.
  • Ascend or descend stairs.
  • Ability to drive and visit multiple accounts in one day.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement innovative solutions to boost business for assigned accounts and increase market share for Sazerac brands.
  • Educate customers, solve challenges, and increase sales by leveraging consumer and category trends for brand building.
  • Lead distributors to support in-outlet selling and execution.
  • Achieve volume objectives for the diverse portfolio.
  • Implement and execute programs for distribution, merchandising, display, and retail promotional goals.
  • Develop mutually valuable rapport with assigned customers by understanding their key needs and requirements.
  • Act as the communication lead between key customers, wholesalers, and the internal team.
  • Track agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure goals are consistently met.
