About The Position

The Wilma and Peter Veldman Family Psychology Clinic at the University of Notre Dame is seeking a team of on-call Receptionists to join their dynamic and mission-driven team. As the public face of the Clinic, often during the late afternoon and early evening, the receptionist will provide a welcoming presence for the families who join them. The Veldman Family Psychology Clinic is Notre Dame’s premier institute for clinical science, training, and community mental health. As part of the College of Arts & Letters, the clinic brings together faculty, staff, and students who are pioneering innovative research, delivering exceptional care, and preparing the next generation of mental health professionals. Their work is deeply grounded in the University’s mission to be a force for good—with a particular focus on expanding access to evidence-based, high-quality mental health services for underserved populations. The On-Call Receptionist is an on-call role that provides a welcoming reception and light administrative support to the Director, faculty, and staff of the Veldman Family Psychology Clinic. This role ensures the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic during times that regular receptionists are not available, typically in the late afternoon and early evening hours. They are looking for individuals who can create a welcoming, organized, and professional environment for visitors, faculty, students, staff, clients, and research participants. Hours will vary based on clinic needs and receptionist availability, but team members can expect to work approximately 5 hours per week. This position is central to the clinic’s mission—helping ensure that each person who enters feels seen, supported, and valued.
