About The Position

Join the Food Services Team at Kitsap Community Resources! As an On-Call Kitchen Aide, you'll play an important role in supporting our kitchen operations by filling in as needed and helping our dedicated Food Services Team serve nutritious meals to community members in need. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Six months of food service experience required.
Experience in the institutional kitchen field with heavy production emphasis.
Must have a valid food handlers permit.
Must have a valid Washington State Drivers License.
Ability to pass State and/or Federal Background Checks as determined by position (prior to hire date).
Valid Washington State Driver’s License to operate company vehicles and/or utilize other vehicles for company business.
Ability to obtain proof of insurability for operating an automobile.

First Aide/CPR certification (within 30 days of employment)
Food Worker Permit (within 90 days of employment)
Initial physical exam (within 30 days of employment).
Current Immunizations per Washington Administrative Code (can be obtained upon hire).
Position requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, twisting, and bending.
Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work on your feet.
Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, twisting, and bending.
Simple grasping and hand manipulation required as well as reaching above and below shoulder level.
Cognitive ability to recognize and address safety concerns.
Cognitive and emotional ability to work directly with clients in need, which may include children, homelessness, mental health issues, substance abuse, or other mental or physical barriers.
Must be able to drive in a variety of weather conditions.
Cognitive ability to discern accuracy and apply to work as necessary.
Physical and cognitive ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

Verify accuracy of kitchen’s pack out work daily.
Tracking of daily meal counts for a variety of contracts.
Pack out cold and hot food to meal sites daily.
Deliver cold and hot food to meal sites daily.
Pick up dishes and leftovers at meal sites and return to kitchen.
Assist in monthly inventory.
Prepare frozen meals snacks and breakfast breakouts as needed.
Assist cooks in the kitchen as needed.
Assist with food breakouts when needed.
Assemble and deliver food items to all Head Start sites when directed.
Assist with food and supply inventories when needed.
Report to and accept assignments from Food Service manager.
Daily set up dish room and operate dishwasher scraping, cleaning, and sanitizing all dishes silverware, pots and pans.
Clean all incoming dirty dishes count box.
Arrange for the next day delivery.
Accepts other duties as assigned.
