About The Position

Visalia Post Acute is seeking a dependable and caring On-Call Dietary Aide to join our team! Help support our residents’ nutrition, comfort, and well-being by assisting with meal preparation and providing friendly, attentive meal service. This is an on-call position, providing coverage as needed, with varying hours and shifts based on facility needs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and serving meals according to approved menus and resident dietary needs.
• Assemble meal trays with the correct foods, portions, beverages, and utensils.
• Follow instructions for special diets, food textures, and resident preferences.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas.
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen, dining, and storage areas.
• Assist with receiving, labeling, and properly storing food and supplies.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Communicate resident meal concerns to the Dietary Supervisor.
• Work cooperatively with dietary and nursing staff to provide timely, courteous service.
