About The Position

We are now hiring an Intake Coordinator to join our team! This position will handle On-Call work. We are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care, and we’re looking for a dedicated Intake Coordinator to help ensure our nursing staff is effectively scheduled to deliver the best care to our patients. As an Intake Coordinator, you serve as the primary liaison between patients and clinical staff, managing the initial referral process, verifying insurance eligibility, and entering patient data into our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. You will ensure compliance with government regulations and ensure that adequate staffing is in place to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your role will be essential in supporting the clinical staff, coordinating patient referrals, and ensuring smooth operations within the company.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of home health, hospice, or healthcare Intake/Scheduling experience
  • High school Diploma, GED (bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience)
  • Understanding of Healthcare insurance reimbursement
  • Superior multitasking ability
  • Understanding of Home Health or Hospice Intake and clinical staffing
  • Medical Terminology familiarity
  • Sound knowledge of the Medicare rules and regulations including JCAHO regulation
  • Willing to work beyond normal working hours, weekends, holidays, and/or on other shifts and in other positions when necessary
  • Capable of handling high call volume

Nice To Haves

  • KanTime EMR experience is a plus
