About The Position

The On-Call Banquet Server is responsible for setting up banquet rooms and serving food and beverages in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner, adhering to Crescent's high standards of quality. This role involves interacting with guests, ensuring their satisfaction, and maintaining the readiness of banquet spaces for future events.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Ability to communicate well with guests.
  • Willingness to "pitch-in" and help co-workers; be a team player.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions for safe application of products and processes.
  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
  • Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Set up banquet room with linen, service ware, and glassware as instructed by the Supervisor.
  • Attend roll call meetings to understand function details and guest/hotel expectations.
  • Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Serve food and beverages according to the Supervisor's instructions and guest expectations.
  • Promptly remove dishes after guests complete each course or meal.
  • Abide by all State, Federal, and Corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
  • Reset the banquet room according to the Supervisor’s specifications after the banquet is complete.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
