About The Position

The Omnichannel Origination Representative provides origination to consumer members through omni channels that include phone, video, email, text, and chat. This role requires foundational knowledge of loan and deposit account origination requirements, including specialty deposit accounts, and will learn home equity loan origination once registered with the NMLS. They are responsible for deepening member relationships and delivering highly engaged member experiences.

Requirements

  • Must be bilingual in Spanish
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the terms of the SAFE Act of 2008 is required.
  • One year of experience in consumer account origination and servicing, with basic knowledge of financial services, including loan and deposit accounts governing rules and regulations required.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
  • Proficiency in all omnichannel modes of communication platforms.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills through verbal, written, and video channels.
  • Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree is preferred.
  • Familiarity with consumer deposit and loan account types including home equity origination, and specialty deposit accounts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with members through various omnichannel communication platforms by using effective communication and interpersonal skills through verbal, written, and video communication.
  • Complete origination of member deposit and loan accounts, including specialized deposit accounts, across all channel avenues by using the credit union's systems and procedures, following regulatory requirements for deposits and loans, verifying member information and eligibility, and reviewing credit reports. Based on the origination channel, responsibilities may include preparing loan documents, title paperwork, and completing the funding process along with any other required documentation and disclosures.
  • Inform members about the credit union's offerings, making sure each member understands how to optimize their relationship with the credit union by providing relevant information, answering questions, and cross-selling solutions that meet the member's needs.
  • Maintain adherence to all regulatory requirements for deposits and loans, including the NMLS registration when required by completing the required training and certification processes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development as required by attending and completing the assigned courses, webinars, and workshops, and applying the learned knowledge and skills to the job.
