About The Position

This seminar-based project management course provides students with an opportunity to develop and apply leadership and project management skills to issues. This senior level course provides students with an opportunity to develop an understanding of the people, technical, organizational, and leadership challenges and strategies involved in project management. Successful completion of this course will qualify students to write the Project Management Institute's Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® test. This course has multiple sections and a common course outline. This course will be coordinated. All instructors will be required to follow a proposed course outline.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree
  • Leadership, Business, Arts (as discipline)
  • A current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Prior university-level teaching experience in Leadership and/or Project Management is required.
  • Experience teaching virtual asynchronous (“online”) courses at the post-secondary level is required.
  • CV (Maximum of 10 pages, with 12-point font and 2.54 cm margins. Pages which exceed this limit will not be considered in the committee’s evaluation of the application)
  • Candidate Application Form (CAF)
  • On the CAF, applicants must clearly outline only those qualifications which are relevant for each course for which they have applied and articulate how their work and academic experience enhances their ability to teach each course.

Nice To Haves

  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Project or other project management software is an asset.
